Willard Bay

Trolled around a while today. Only two takers. In a month we may see thirty fish days. There is a feeding thing going on on the bottom that is keeping the fish fed. Rattly plastic lures are a tough thing to compete against that green slime hatch what ever it is.

You lucky dog, caught an eye on your first trip out or is this your second trip out[:/]. Good to see someone can catch them. Thanks for the report and pic Dan.

[#0000FF]In the months before the shad spawn and refill the grocery shelves, Willard's fishies have to make a living however they can. That includes inhaling some of the clouds of midge larvae that hatch out at this time.

I kept a catfish from yesterday and it was chock full of green midge larvae. Last year all the crappies I kept were also full of green goo.

As I was driving south out of the north marina yesterday I noticed clouds of midges dancing above the dike...and over some of the higher bushes.

dubob congrats on the new boat. Our T jet is 13 years old and can still turn heads. That is always nice. Solid long life boats build to last. Just like their owners.

Thought you were originally supposed to get it in April? Well good news either way, no one has just been nailing them at Willard yet, right?
