Hello folks Chapter 65 has partnered with the DNR to do a tiger muskie age study that will be conducted on Pineview.
Members have received training from the DNR to clip a fin ray that will be given to the biologist and then tag that fish.
Each trained member received an authorization letter from the DNR giving permission.
If you catch a tiger muskie with a tag you can't keep the fish it still must be released.
What we need is for you to note the tag number on one side and the other side of the tag is a phone number call that phone number and if no one answers just leave a message stating you caught a tagged fish and the number is XX.
Tags are numbered from 1-100 and yellow and will be inserted into the muscle just below the dorsal fin.
Thanks for your assistance if you catch a Pineview tiger muskie that is tagged.
