Huntington North - Almost a stinker
#1
I fished Huntington North Reservoir today from my tube. I fished from 6:30 until 11:30 and decided that was enough punishment for one day. I tried a medium and fast sinking line, numerous flies and I was only able to catch one 12" chub (skunk repellent) . I did have one good fish on for a few minutes but never got to see what it was. The water temperature was up to 61-63 degrees and the visibility in the water of about 4'. The reservoir is 88% full and rising slowly. There was a couple of boats out, one with a couple of golfers/fishermen that weren't doing much better than me.

You know, you would think with the DWR stocking 2,000 rainbows, a good population of wipers, a few browns, bluegill, green sunfish, largemouth bass, and catfish that a person should be able to hook something besides a chub.[:/]

"I was only able to catch one 12" chub"

[#0000FF]Need to check the regs to see if that actually qualifies. Oh yeah, are you sure it wasn't a "sucker"? That's what they call them on Hooked on Utah.

Should be some wiper action soon.

Well you were getting spoiled at Starvation so the fish gods frowned on your home waters. I have no idea as to why that lake is being so stingy this year, Has not been any kinder to me than you. But one of these days I will get lucky on H.N.
