DC Trolling Tripple Teasers
#1
Went out this morning & had a good time trolling Triple Teasers at DC for 'bows. Most productive colors were hammered brass or silver with red head. Trolled from dawn until about 8:30 & fished on top. Worked the speed between 1.8 & 2.5 mph & used S-turns often for varied action near the shore in 5-15 FOW. The rig I used was a medium-light 7' spinning rod w/6 lb mono & a 1.5g split shot 5' above the lure. They were hard hitting & with that light outfit one can really feel the fight.

When I was a boy growing up my dad & I watched the sun rise many a morning while trolling the DC. The triple teaser was dad's go to lure back then/there it is still the ticket today. Tripple T's a time tested, simple but effective lure under the right conditions.

Wow, that brought back memories. I have some Triple Teasers that I bought in the 70's. My dad said they looked like something I got out of a bubble gum machine but they sure can catch fish.

Are they even made now?[cool]

Yes they're still around. You can look them up on line; Yakima Tripple Teasers. You'll also find them at a number of local tackle sources. I know Sportsman's Warehouse carries them & last time I was up at Smith & Edwards I saw them as well.
