Lost Creek trout

Was at Lost Creek today, caught this beauty, does any one know what kind of trout this is?

It is an invisible trout, very rare.

If you can reload the photo I'm sure someone will know what species it is.

It has the colors of a brook trout and I can't see the tail. If the tail was forked instead of kind of square, it is a splake which is a hybrid cross of a brook trout and lake trout. My guess based on what I can see is that it is a splake.

Looks like a Brook Trout, but could be a Splake (Brook x Lake Trout).

Interesting... I didn't know either were in that lake.

That's what my dad thought it was, a splake. Was cool catching something different like that.

I was with James today, I took the picture and unfortunately I did not get a shot of the tail. I wish I would have. I have never caught anything like this at lost creek, I thought it was a splake too but I really don't know

I've fished Lost Creek several times from my tube in the last few years and have never caught one so that was a good catch. I'm not sure how well the Splake are doing in there because you rarely hear of anyone catching them.

I'm guessing that the fish he caught was from last years stocking.
