Custom IRW 13'3" Casting Rod!

This is a IRW blank custom wrapped for Medium surf/shore casting to Light/Medium plugging action. I've since paired it with a Shimano 5500 Ultegra XSB CI4 + for long distance casting using braid for Trevally & Bonefish. The duo has held 5ft Blacktip Sharks to 40lb Eagle Nose Stingrays. Not bad for only a Medium rating! I'm planning on purchasing 2 more IRW blanks since they are extremely resilient & strong for their rating. A Med/Heavy for baitcasting & a Heavy for sliding. Throughout the years i've tried Nitros, Okumas, Daiwas, TICAs & Penns. Nothing has compared to the IRW. I've chatted with local rod builders about IRW blanks. Everyone agreed not only are the blanks under-rated but are amazingly resilient, flexable & strong. Just wanted to pass this on to other shore & surf casters.
