Willard Bay Boat Slips
#1
I am new to Utah, moved from Florida last year. I live in Perry, quite close to Willard Bay and am interested in putting my boat into one of the slips for the summer.

Does anyone have any experience with this? I see you have to either bid or draw to get a slip, but have no idea how hard or easy that might be. Long odds or everybody gets one? And if I were to bid any idea how much people have had to bid in the past to get in?

A few practical questions also, I have a 21 ft Tidewater Skiff. Its a Florida bay boat wide open and stable, seems like it would work fine on Willard, but any thoughts would be appreciated.

Does one need to bottom paint a boat for a season in Willard Bay, or can a good pressure wash in the fall clean it up? Don't like bottom paint and don't want to use it unless I have to.

If it works this seems to me to be an ideal thing for me, I am only 10 min from the marina, would give me a lot of time to figure out how to catch some Utah fish.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Welcome to Utah. I don't have any experience about the boat slips at the marina but may be able to point you in the right direction. I would venture a guess to call the Utah state parks division. You can find the number on the internet.
