I am thinking next tuesday of going to pelican lake. Wondering what the ice conditions are before the long drive.

Went over today. Ice was pretty solid 5" - 6". Losing some of its clarity due to thawing and refreezing. Very noisy ice today! Had to hole hop a lot today to stay on active fish. Caught several bass and a few bluegill before we had to leave early. I expect to be over there again Monday.

Thanks nate. I am a old fat guy afraid of falling in. I need a good 6in for me to venture out. Think we will try starvation from shore for some steelhead. But thank you for all the info
