Hit fish lake last Thursday 3/1 for only my 2nd ice fishing trip this year. Ice was 14" thick on the South end where we fished but fishing was dramatically slower than our last outing there. We caught rainbows, splake and perch at various depths between 10-20 ft. Little breezy and occasional snow, but overall a beautiful day and sure beat being at work. Sorry no pics.

I'm going tomorrow to fish until about 1'ish then rabbit hunt a little on the way home.
If you can go I will show you the ropes of where to start out at Fish Lake?

Man this is sooo tempting. If I wouldn't have hit the berry yesterday. I think I would be there, but I put myself behind so I can't go now, but if you do it again I'd like to try it. Thanks Jeff

Biggest splake was around 14" and biggest rainbow was 16". Nothing real big, perch were especially small, not sure if the efforts to thin the perch are helping much with the average size yet. I still wish I lived closer to that end of the state, fun place to fish either way.

Were ice conditions conducive to hand pulling a flip shelter or is a Smitty needed?
Going tomorrow for a CastnBlast and can't wait. Will be tough falling asleep tonight.
Thank you.

Snow/ice conditions should be fine without a Smitty style sled. I just hand pulled a jet sled with auger, tent and everything else on it.
