I was fishing for walleye on a crisp beautiful day at sandy beach today. Though it’s still a bit cold I took a chance. Just when I thought the only thing I was doing was cleaning leaves out i started to pull moss lol. But after an hour I got onto a 6" walleye. This was the only thing I caught as I only had another 10 minutes but This gave me hope they will be coming soon.

I'd love to try my hand at walleye at Utah Lake this spring, but I don't have any waders or a boat. Is sandy beach a place they could be caught from shore?

Not really, you can wade a good half mile from the mouth of the river and still only be waist deep.
OK, maybe it only seems like a half mile. LOL
