Had a great first trip with the kayak at Echo. Pulled in 2, brother pulled in 4 rainbow all 13-15 inches. Most action up by the dam on worms, power bait, gold spinners.

Thanks for the report and welcome to the site. What kind of kayak do you have?

Was the gate to the boat ramp unlocked for launching boats? Or did you have to carry your kayak to the water?

My brother and I both bought the Tahoma sit-on-top kayak at wally world and modified with storage compartments, rod holders, etc. Tons of youtube ideas. Only out a total of $300 for a fun little kayak.

We just carried our kayaks down to the water. found a nice little angled path from the pullout closest to the dam. Was really east getting in, but had a bit of fun getting them out after the wind picked up and waves started rolling in.
