Fished off the North Dike today from 1-4. Caught 8 cats all cookie cutters. Largest was 26”. All caught on white bass. Wind and rain made fishing a little uncomfortable. Would help if I had taken a rain jacket. A few boat anglers launched, but turned around after leaving the end of the channel. 12” whitecaps. Tipical LB in the afternoon.

The one that we watched you catch as we were making our way back into the marina looked to be a good sized cat.
If it hadn't been for Kent the trip would have been a whole lot slower. He is a fishing machine.

They sure where hitting hard. Lots of fun when they are in the tugging mood. Finally got me a Gorilla Flig. It was embedded in one of the fish that I caught. Right next to my 6/0 circle hook.

[#0000FF]I know the guy who makes those. I have had a couple of fish swallow them...and took them home for a "fligectomy"...but have never had a fish break me off while fishing them.[/#0000FF]

Sounds like like you had fun in the sketchy weather. I haven't lost any to fish, but I'm curious what color the FLIG was?
