Anyone know if there’s campfire restrictions in the Uintas?
#1
I’m taking some scouts on an overnight campout to Long Lake in the Uintas on September 7th. Going to teach them how to fish as part of their fishing merit badge and we’d like to cook up a few fish over an open fire.

I haven’t been up to the Uintas this year. Does anyone know how to find out if there’s any camp fire restrictions?

When we went up in July we called and were incorrectly told that there were restrictions, we even brought our own approved fire ring per the "restriction", but 2 days later when we ran into 2 forest service employees on the trail they stated there were zero restrictions other than no fireworks. It was the driest I have seen it in 6 years, but there have been some decent storms since so you should be fine. Use your best judgment.
