The water was not as high or as muddy as I thought it would be so I decided to go up river. I ran up just past Baylor School and started fishing my way back down the river. Finally I had one bump a jig but missed it. Then I started throwing a spinner bait and the little spots started hammering it! I must have caught 25 or 30 of them. I hung one LM that looked to be about 3 lbs. or so but when it jumped the spinner bait wire broke? Then I hooked up on a SM that looked to be a keeper that immediately jumped and streaked toward the river channel but then it came off? The last hour I threw a frog but never had a rise. That was it! I had three small spots that wouldn't weigh 5 lbs. and worked my butt off to get that! Congrats to David and Todd on the win.
