They are legal and they do work. They work better when there are some minnows to attract. I made one that has 350 led lights. Will operate on 12vdc 9 amp battery for about 9 hours. The type used for fishfinders. Hope to try it out at Pineview. Maybe catch some Crappie.

We have used my brothers glow light at Powell a couple of times.

It interesting to watch everything flock to it.

I haven't exactly added a fishing light to my supplies (yet?), but I can turn on the light on the camera of my MarCum LX-9 ice fishing fish finder. It's useful at depth. Sometimes when I fish until after dark, I turn on the light and shortly after, I turn it off because it attracts so much plankton in front of the lense that you can't see past them.

Used one at Otter Creek all we got were clouds and clouds of bitty bitty bugs in the water column.
