Tried some early season ice at Big Elk today. Caught my limit in just over an hour. Didn’t even have a chance to jig. They were hitting the dead sticks big time today!

Dang JLM, I was hoping to see an early JL report. Looks like Big Elk is giving up a few fish though. How’s the ice conditions? Normal slushy mess like most years?

Ice was set up very nice. Only slush was about a foot around the edge. 4-5 inches of good solid ice.
