Took long enough but I finally got some success with the jacker due to help from everyone here.
Problem was in the rods I have been using. Went to the slower action ugly stick and caught 4 of the 6 fish that tripped the trap.
Still tons more with active rod but a huge plus from what the JJ has been.
If it continues to improve I think I will be getting the jigging base.
