Pensacola Beach Fishing Report 02-16-19
#1
The fishing charters in Pensacola Beach are on fire right now! Today we had one of the best redfish bites we had all year! These fish ranged from 25-32 inches and were all caught on light tackle! We probably caught 15 or 20 on a 4 hour inshore charter and had multiple double hook ups! We also caught a few black drum and some red snappers that were released to fight another day. Most of these fish were caught on natural dead bait incuding shrimp and cut bait. The weather has been too rough to get out for some deep sea fishing but triggerfish open March 1st so any day that allows us to we will be targeting them! These fish are a blast on light tackle!

Thanks for reading,
Captain Zack Strickland

Putt-putting out into the Portsmouth channel on England's south coast, the small vessel is soon swallowed by the early morning fog.

To the uninitiated, the mist appears to cloak any landmark, bar the occasional cormorant marking time atop a buoy, but the boat's captain isn't fazed.

"You're a hunter but you can't see anything. It's like hunting bears with a blindfold."

This is how Matt Varndell describes his day at work fishing for clams. However, given its political dangers, economic risks and the uncertainty that still haunts the process, "blindfolded bear hunting" sounds like a metaphor for Brexit and the UK government's attempts to leave the European Union (EU).
