Practice on Thu. afternoon, only caught 2 fish, 1 keeper. Water temp in the tx was still stuck on 49 everywhere. 1st ran up river about 7-8 mi to 1st spot nothing. Found suspended bait- bumping and snagging them with a lipless. No bites. Moved to spot 2. Had a couple fish on but they pulled off. Ran down river and went real shallow. Found a few fish but no bites. picked up a spinnerbait and bowed up on one in a brush pile but it pulled off. felt real good. Made another move and lost another good one on a lipless. It was noon and still no fish in the boat. Started getting nervous. Rather than spinning out, I went back to focusing on covering water and boated my 1st fish-3lbs. Shortly later boated #2, a 2.6. Had an hour left and hooked up on #3 but it pulled off as well. Typical N wind post frontal rising baro conditions... Had fun. See ya'all on the Nick.
