I'm headed out tomorrow (Friday 3-1) I to hit either Pineview or Causey. Any updates on conditions? It's been pretty warm so I want to be cautious.

As of yesterday Causey has lots of ice headed out from the dam. Bring a plank or tall boots just in case the edge is soft. Pineview had fishy people at the common spots so it's probably fine as well. Check ice for yourself first though, I did not personally check it.

Be aware that it rained a lot at Pineview yesterday; we canceled our trip because of it. Probably pretty slushy. Just a guess.

The older I get the more I would rather be considered a good man than a good fisherman.

Welcome to BFT good to have you with us.... As you can tell it's a very dynamic time of year right now and things are melting out really fast.. Be careful and please report back what you find so we can let others know the conditions... I expect this weekend will be the end of ice fishing for a lot of lakes and so extra caution is for sure in order this weekend... Good luck.. Jeff

Awesome. Thank you gentlemen. I'm hoping for Pineview to be fishable. Want a yummy perch dinner! Haha. I'll let everyone know how it goes. Any recommendations for bait/tackle? I have the standard assortment of ice flies. Green is most productive I'm assuming?

There is a very recent report on Pineview. You should check it out. You also might want to try PMing EyLayo and L-D-R. They have been great about sharing what they know. Tell them I sent you.

I went last Friday and caught 4 nice perches and one 13’ crappie at the north side of the cemetery point. Ice was very solid about 12’ thick. Not sure how recent rain affects it.......Please report backnot is.
