Our church had a Mens Retreat at Cedar Hill Lodge in Calhoun Ga. on Saturday. My friend Neil and I fished some on Friday pm and Saturday am. This lake is known for trophy bass but we crappie fished anyway. It is only a 45 acre lake with some shoreline structure and the deepest part I found was 15 ft. We threw small BG's and caught several crappie, probably around 40 or so but nothing much to call keeper size. Most everyone else fished for bass and one friend of mine caught several bass including a 5.5 lb and another that was 8.3 lbs. This lake and lodge is really beautiful and they have great accommodations EXCEPT for a boat ramp that is just barely wide enough to accommodate a boat trailer. By the way...They do not allow you to run a motor, only trolling motors except to load and unload.

Should anyone be interested on going there let me advise you NOT to take your boat, they have 4 boats available and it comes with the daily lodging fee I'm pretty sure. You can check it out on the Web if you have any interest.
