Has anyone been up to Strawberry lately for Kokes? Heading up tonight for the weekend but have not heard if anyone has been doing good or not. I usually fish from Strawberry Marina over toward the ladders. If so what are the best colors right now and approx. Depth?

I’m curious as well I’m heading up in the morning and planning on fishing the Soldier Creek side as the reports from that side where more promising last week. I have never fished that side, the reports said the fish where out in the middle. What bottom depth am I looking for on that side? I’ll be stacking 2 Downriggers from 20’ to 40’ feet down initially, until I find the most productive depth. Last weeks reports said pink and white mini squids without blades where the most productive at 35’ so, I will start out with that with a bladed squid in the mix, behind pink, orange, and pink and green sling blades. Any information from the last few days would be much appreciated.

It has been rainy and windy. Fished yesterday. Only got 2 kokanee - my first on the Strawberry side this year. I expect it to improve with the weather next week. Water temp was 44*. Both came at 29' one on red and one on pink.
I will be back up on Saturday.

I fished today with my boy and we caught 7 kokes and had some other long releases. Surface temp was about 46 and the rest of the water column was about 44 according to my Fish Hawk. Its still cold. This cold weather and rain has slowed things.
There are fish to be caught, but the fish are scattered.
We caught them from 8’ to 40’
We used pink and white squids and 5.5” dodgers. We also used some home made squids and wedding ring type lures in pinks and oranges.
I’m not sure one worked better than the other. It was just hit or miss based upon when we found the fish and were at the right depth.
It was nice that it wasn't too busy. That will probably change.
When will those fish cleaning stations be open?

We fished the Strawberry side from the marina to Haws and east and west of that line. Nothing secret.
Most were about 16”. Nothing to write home about but my 13 year old had fun.

We fought the wind and rain for a few hours Monday and caught a couple limits of kokes mostly on Macks Hot orange squids behind a sling blade and a few on Red hot head Cripplures down about 40'.

I went online to look at "windalert" and it did not have a station at Strawberry. I saw Deer Creek, Heber, and lots of other stations but not Strawberry. What am I missing?

Try Sailflow.com. It is very accurate and has a selectable station right there.
