Got a call from a friend to go fishing today on his new boat. We were out between 1:30-4:30 which we knew wasn’t ideal... we moved around a lot checking things out. Water was about 80 everywhere we went. I wanted to find some grassy areas, but there really weren’t any options on the stretch of river we were fishing. I caught the first one on the live target craw jig and a John Mile’s rod, it was easily 2lbs with a bloody tail. Unfortunately that was about the only bite I had. My buddy caught one a bit smaller on a shakey head. Not a lot of action, but I don’t think we ever really found em. Either way, it beat working today.
