Hit Strawberry today for Kokanee. Got on the water at 7:00am. Tried the East side, no takers. Moved to near Haws and got some planter Cutts & Bows. Headed North and whammo, my buddy picked up a beastly male 21" and over 4 lbs. Biggest fish of the day. Ended with only 3 Koke's and a bunch of slot Cutts. All on chrome dodgers, pink squid. Not much else worked.

Buddy and I had similar results day before, on Friday, but only ended up with 2 kokes, and the usual (+-) 20 cutts....I really can't complain about catching the cutts, as some were very nice fish (all released) and they did save our day, as the kokanee just plain weren't willing this day....my only thought was...that it was the day after those big rain storms, big drop in temp. and probably barometric pressure on the rise...that make sense?...oh, and the fishing solunar charts said it would be a "poor" fishing day....but we went anyway, cuz the weather felt great, there was little or no wind, and I like being on the water....our 2 kokes came about 2 minutes apart, just as we were re-entering the general area getting back to the marina....fishing is what fishing is....Guluk....
