Any Mantua reports?
#1
I read where algae was building on Mantua and the catching was slow. Has anyone fished there recently and can confirm, or deny, what I read?

Hey Kent

I fished it the last 2 Fridays, got tired of catching blue gill, had my fill after about 2 hours, caught bass and perch as well, small weight 4inchs in front of a small orange popper or green and orange jig, tipped with a small piece of crawler, location south of the knowel about the middle of the reservoir just outside the weeds. drop it to the bottom and raise it a few inches off bottom, a real slow troll worked well to. Hope this helps.

yes the water is stained but that did not have any detrimental effect.

I was there Saturday and and the water is so green and soupy that it made things almost impossible. At least with the way I like to fish. Caught one small bass with four of us fishing.

You may want to consider other options if the kids like to get in the water. There is an algae advisory being reported by Fox 13 news.
