We went on the same day as well. We fished in 25 FOW, the fish seemed to be suspended for us too. The bite was slow in the morning but picked up around noon. Most fish were marking between 15 and 19 feet of water and between three of us we ended with 43 fish.
Pretty fun trip taking my 3 year old on the ice for the first time. He cannot wait until the next trip.
We caught them on powerbait and nightcrawlers mostly. The bite was very light and we could have easily caught 60 plus without the missed hooksets.
