Hello all, one of my buddies from CA was telling me about his experience spearfishing. It intrigued me but I heard a few bad things about it too... One of those is that people think spearfishing isn't fair (like shooting fish in a barrel)? Would you be upset or disappointed if a spearfisher came to lake mead, walker lake, or other small freshwater bodies and shot for non-game fish?

I doubt that anyone would be concerned if you only speared non-game fish. In Utah (where I live), some folks get excited when the large game fish are speared; especially, during their spawn.

I agree with Kent, where people get upset is when spearfishers take game fish, I doubt they would care less if they were shooting carp or other non-game fish.
