Jan 1 2023 @1100hrs. I just checked the ice at Hyrum at the Beaches and the dam. The spud bar
went right thru with one hit. Estimate 1 to 1.5 inches of clear hard ice. To thin
for safe fishing in my opinion but it won't be long.

I appreciate the update, I'll bet by today it may be holding.... Any idea where the fish will be this year? I usually fish off the beach, but my favorite areas are high and dry this year... My boat trips didn't really help me locate them either.... Some random fish down by the boat ramp, but I never found the good ones I was looking for... Anyway, I'll probably see you on the pond before too long... Good luck... Jeff
