Going To Willard with Grandson. Help?
#1
I haven't fished Willard for Crappie or Perch in many years.
My Grandson asked me to take him there this weekend.
We will be in a boat.

What is a good way to get him into some Crappie or Perch.
He doesn't like trolling, so we will be jigging and casting.

What area of Willard would be a good place to try?

Please PM me if you don't want to give out info to the public.

Thanks in advance.

Hey Dale, it's been a while since we have heard from you, hope you have been doing OK. It's a little early for the Willard crappie, haven't heard much about people catching crappie while jigging or casting but if that is what you plan on trying the North marina would be your best choice. I've heard more from members catching them at Utah lake but that has been pretty slow too. Not sure if this would be worth a try but some members have caught bluegill to the north, around the outlet and the brush to the east of the outlet. Hope this helps, good luck to you and your GS.

It's been a while for sure. I haven't been doing much fishing for the past couple of years.
My back doesn't let me do much standing these days.
Hoping to keep my Grandson busy with the casting.
He hates to troll or we would be going for Walleye.

I hear you on the back issues, every year it gets worse for me too. There are folks fishing from shore, doing pretty good for the wipers right now, using bait but jigs might work too. Undecided
