I I hope this doesn’t offend anyone, but makes them think and contribute. It seems to me there is a lack of fishing reports from many that use/view this site. I can’t believe that with everything starting to happen and as many people that have been out there is not some information that could be posted good or bad can all be beneficial to anglers. Now there are MANY great contributors on this site that share so much valuable information on gear, tackle techniques and then when why and how things worked or didn’t. Sadly I think there are many that use this site and gladly take info but rarely if ever share. Sadly I have seen some members, even talked to them at the lake fishing and come to the site to see their posts NADA. Hmmm I posted but they didn’t?? This is a good site but could be so much better. I hope more users will share information and make it better for all!
Don’t expect anyone to expose their delicate secret honey hole, but why not give back to a place that is a resource for many Anglers. Just some food for thought. Please consider sharing good or bad it will be appreciated by many
Thank you in advance
I fished “strawberry” last Saturday 5/3 for kokes
Wouldn’t it be nice to know how it went?

Well said.
There are a lot of participants but few contributors.
The interactive DWR fishing report site is the same way.
Some people are just too lazy to help other folks out.

I went fishing at deer creek last week and caught a bunch of nice bows. I've posted those trips before and no one seemed to care much because it's such a vanilla trip. It's not like catching a huge musky or sturgeon, but if people want to see those posts, Im happy to share them.

We do want to see those report, any report is better than none. We don't all do great on every trip. I agree, it would be nice if those that read post reply to them.

I'm presently a caregiver and don't get out as much as I'd like to but when I do, I always give a report. Haven't made it out yet this year but always read and try to respond to others reports. I do enjoy reading their fishing trips.

Well it seems most are taking it all in stride and I hope a few more will take the time to give back with a simple quick report good or bad. Even just a little info can really help in deciding where to go and what to do. There are plenty of fish to go around and helping others enjoy the sport and hopefully get some youngsters out to enjoy our great angling in Utah, if kids get interested it is good for all of us!
Now , here’s a report from last Saturday from the Berry/ Soldier creek.
Hit the water about 9 am it took a while to locate what I thought were kokes, marked some cutts and caught only a couple or 3 cutts, which was fine with me! Then found kokes willing to play. Got into them about 11:30 and by a little after one we had our 8 fish limit . Bests depths were 30/40 feet down . Standard flashers with pink and green squids
Most fish on pink. We had 4 doubles, lost 3 landed 9, ended up on last fish had a double and only needed one, told my buddy let’s bring them to the boat and net the best one and or unhook the easiest one to release without putting it in the net. Water was 43 degrees fight fought pretty good. They were not the bigger kokes just under 16” range but in great shape!
Good luck!

Nicely done Pat. I'm hoping to get out on Rockport tomorrow and see if the kokanee are ready to play yet.
Stay tuned for the report.

Thx Bob,
Hoping to get out as well on Friday, not sure whether chasing kokes somewhere, or maybe walleye or SMB.
Lots of choices. Good luck!

We hit the berry last weekend for a few hrs before the storm blew us off (kayak and 1man pontoon) we fisshed the soldier side and picked up 3 bows, 4 cutts and a koke in the topwater depths on the trad dodgers pink orange and green had action. Good to hear the depths of the koke - thanks.

I’ve noticed the same, I’m a seasonal fisher and only fish the gorge, during like season.
(Had to take a few years off for life but trying to tip toe back in)
We used to have a lot of reports on here and kokaneefishingforum now, not so much.
Maybe the cool kids club “premium member” board has more, but I got the boot a few years ago from that secret club because I wasn’t spamming the board weekly with “good catch” and “nice report” to keep the post count up.

OK- Cascade 5 /7 to 5 /10 was a blast. Fish on avg were not quite a large as last year but did catch a dozen that were in that 14 to 15 inch range (perch) with 15 1/4 x 2# on the nose the largest. Many were 212 and 13" though .5 rainbows from 18 to 22 inch. Great time and on avg I would say we did a little better than those we talked with. Caught them trolling shad raps and bottom bouncing. Never were able to anchor over a school. Perch seemed a little dispersed. Last year we were 2 weeks earlier and picked more perch and larger on avg. fished both ends of the lake,
