Lost Creek State Park Improvements
#1
I met with the Manager for Lost Creek this week. They have graded and improved the road to the upper end of Lost Creek and are installing new restrooms now, the gate will be open for access next season. Also they are building a new camp ground below the dam that will be open next year..

When Ira and I was there several weeks ago, we noticed they were hauling dump truck after dump truck of gravel to that old camp ground there in the back and we guessed that was exactly what they were doing, you just confirmed what we were talking about.

Thanks for looking into this..I'd enjoy taking advantage of Lost Creek again if I knew they were putting in a more friendly boat entry..any idea if this was to happen?

The manager has boat ramp improvements on his long term wish list, nothing in the near term.

I used to camp at the far end of LC. That was a treacherous drive along that upper mountain single wide road. Once back in there it was a beautiful setting camping next to the stream. Its going to be nice to see how the campgrounds will be situated after remodel of the area. I assume there will be boating & camping fees without a doubt. I also hope it stays wakeless.

There has been boating fees there for years, ever since the state took it over, I have a state parks pass, so I don't pay close attention to the price, but I think it's around $10

Lost Creek State Park Fees
     • Day Use Fees: $10 per vehicle per day, annual passes accepted.
     • Camping Fees: $20 per vehicle per night.

Fires allowed in the fire pits at Francis Cove Campground and Little Trail Creek Camping area (area below dam). Do not camp in day use areas. All camping is on a first come first served basis.  Pay Online before you go and take a screenshot of your receipt. Please write the receipt number on a fee envelope tab and leave it visible on your dashboard for a ranger to see.

You can pay online at this link: Parkspass

I've always liked fishing at Lost Creek , but I never really liked having to back down that ramp . I am glad to see that the Improvements are happening up there . That's been needed for a long time.

I agree Dan, backing down that ramp is no fun at all. When the new ramp happens, I'll be much happier to fish there from my boat.

Backing down that ramp is a little difficult, and pulling a boat up that ramp with vehicles parked all along the side of it is no fun either.
