Jordanelle - Sept 3rd
#1
Fished w/buddy from 6:30-11.  Plenty of smallie action but not Rockport size.  Only a couple that went 12-13".  Perch getting bigger tho, and approaching the size of RP's.  Single-tail 4" grub and Bitsy Jigs the best baits.  Water temp 68.  Bite seemed to die off around 10.  Planning to return Sunday.

Enjoyed the Jordanelle as well as the previous Rockport reports.   I have been able to hit Jordy (Rock Cliffs) a few times the past month or so, including last week.  On the most recent trip we caught 11-12 inch bass till our arms were sore, but couldn't stick any big ones.  Previous trips could be similar but would offer the pleasant surprise of a big 16 -17 1/2 smallie or two showing up.   At RC, the perch size has exceeded reported perch size at Rockport but I was talking with an angler that fished elsewhere at Jordy last time and all they could find were dinks, so it all could have been a local effect.  The caveat now is that due to rapid draining of the lake, all my hotspots are now high and dry.

Sadly, I never made it to Rockport as you had suggested over the winter, when we were talking about it.   Crazy summer overall for us at home.

We fished the RC arm, getting our nice perch on the N side, just E of the Grassy Knoll.
