Just got back from Echo. Hadn't been there since ice time last Feb. Fished from 6:30-11am. Got some nice perch, but nothing like the winter jumbos. Also got some good smallies, my buddy boating his biggest of the year with an 18 1/2". Expected to get blown off at some point, and we did, but not until 11:15 when we were planning on leaving anyway. Could have used some wind earlier when the lake was like glass
from 8am on. Just like our recent forays to RP and Jordy, the fishing got tough after 9:30. Best baits: Yamamoto's single-tail grubs and drop-shotted shad-shape worms. Water 67-68. Drove over ice fishing spot, now 10' instead of 30'.
