i know many of you regulars live up north, but...
anyone been to fish lake in the last couple of weeks? if so, i was wondering how the fishing was, what the conditions were like, any tips, etc. (or if you remember any recent reports, could you point me in the right direction? i looked but didn't see any recent posts).
i'm heading down there tonight and will fish it in the morning (and maybe tonight) before heading off to capitol reef to hike.

i was there two weeks ago did well on splake in the bowery area also went for lakers on the mack run one day we caught several pups under 5 lbs and as many perch as we wanted in close to the shore. there was alot of snow turning to slush about 6+ inches of slush in many spots making it hard to get anywhere on our atvs snowmobile were having no problems but we did talk to the fish survey man and he told us to stay away from the whole south end of the lake as it was nothing but a slush pool. and lots of snowmobilers stuck there. but if youre looking for some good walk out action try bowery area.

not until around April/May. Somtimes you get quite a bit of open water on Fish Lake in later April, but the county sherrif's dept. will close the lake to all boats until the lake is completely ice free. Usually by May you will be able to get out on Fish Lake with a boat.
