just my two cents
#1
something else to consider in all of this political discussion is that most of the trout in this state aren't native either. I know a few have eluded to or pointed out that fact. We do however need to trust those in charge of the resources to manage them and try to do what we can to change policy or proceedure the legal way if possible. It is not easy and there are definitely some decisions made that I don't agree with at all, but some are definitely made for a good reason, so before any of us feel we know far more than the biologist we better make darn sure we do know more. If you have questions as to why a particular lake is stocked with what it is the dwr is usually more than willing to tell you and it may seem dumb to you or it may not, but at least you will be informed as to why the decision was made. Also if there is something you really feel should be changed, their money comes from your taxes and you can make sure your representatives know how you feel. It may be the slow way, but people can change policy if there is enough people wanting somethin they will get it usually. This is a consumer driven country so if they see the $$$ are coming from a particular type of sportfishing that is where they will start to focus. Just my two cents.
