hook question?
#1
when i went pike fishing last time, ocean hooked up a salt water rig to my line where he took one big worm hook and tied it to my line then took another and clamped it to the other hook then another so i had 3 hooks all hooked togheter and one line only, this leaves me with a questionhow would the dwr look upon this rig? in the proc they have one provision stating "no artifical lure may have more then 3 hooks" and another provision stating "no line may have attached to it more then two bated hooks, two artifical flys, or two artifical hooks..." when i used this i just ran the 3 hooks through the back of one anchovie so i was wondering how you fellow fisherpeople interperted this.

thanks

ps. i think that a setup like this in a slap of carp or sucker would work on the cats

Hey fishforfish, what the proclamation means is this:

You can have up to 2 baits, each with up to 3 hooks (I.E. Three hooks attached to the same Rapala lure, each hook being a treble hook would be fine, and you could use a 2-way swivel and have two of these rapalas hooked to your line at once). Clear as mud??
