Went up to my cabin by Smith and Morehouse and fished the Weber. I started at about 12:30 and it was really slow at first then once I caught one little guy, the rest seamed to come alive. Lost 2 real big cuts but landed a couple nice ones as well. The biggest was around 14-15". Water is getting a little high and muddy. Used a H&L Variant with a BH Hares ear nymph (both were #16's) Godd luck to anyone who decides to go up there this week and you better hurray before the water is rollin'.

Thanks for the report TC, isn't a lot of the land by S&M private? A lot of the guys fish the Weber but I think Leaky fishes it just about every day. WH2

Yeah most of it is private. where my cabin is we probably have about 400 yards that no on ever fishes but me and my dad. the only downfall is that we dont get the size of fish as the river does below the dam. We just have lots more! I havent had a chance to see if S&M is open or not but hopefully i will be able to get up there next weekend and let you know. The stretch i fished is right along Weber Canyon i believe , i started a little before the garbage dump and fished up to the next gate. (please note that you cant actually see the river from the road)
