GOT TO THE POND ABOUT 4, FISHED TILL TEN TO 5. CAUGHT THREE BLUE GILL PALM SIZED, TOOK ON SMALL LMB, LIKE 6 INCHES. USED A WORM ON A LINDY FLOATING HARNESS NO SPINNER, JUST A FLOAT THEN A BEAD FOR STOPPING THE FLOAT, THEN A SINGLE SIZE 10 HOOK, HAD SOME FUN JUST FLIPPIN IT OUT AND WORKING IT OVER THE CABBAGE AND WATCHING THE GILLS TRY TO STEAL THE WORM...IT WAS A FUN HOUR.
AFTER I HIKED DOWN 1/4 OF THE POND TO SOME WATER DEEPER THAN 6 INCHES, I HAULED MY BUTT OVER THE PIPE AND SQUATTED ON THE BANK WENT TO GET A WORM AND THEY WERE ALL DEAD, I GUESS THE HEAT IN MY CAR GOT TO EM...DAM. IT DIDNT MATTER THOUGH, THE DEAD ONES WORK JUST AS WELL AS THE WIGGLY ONES..LOL....MAYBE BETTER..THEY STINK SOMETHING AWFUL! SMELLED LIKE ME AFTER AN ALL YOU CAN EAT MEXICAN FOOD BUFFET. YUK.

Badfish I was fishing the pond last night also. I landed a nice 19inch lmb that went about 3.5 pounds. I was only there for about an hour then it started raining. as soon as I develop the film I will post the pic of the fish and enter it into the fuzzyfisher contest. I use softplastics usually texas or carolina rigged. My longest fish from the pond is 20 inches and it went about 4 pounds. All these fish have came from the shore. I wont say my exact spot but its in shallow water. I catch alot of fish over 2 pounds on a regular basis. If any of you see me out there I would be happy to show you the ropes. Peace !!

haha no that wasnt me I didnt get there until after 6pm. But thats funny because I have scared a few people ( not on purpose ) while walking along the pipe and saying hi to them. One guy said he almost jumped into the water lol !

Hustler you really seen a family of skunks ? Dang that would suck no were to really run away from them haha. I was walking along the pipe about a week ago. I was the only person at the pond. I kept hearing stuff in the weeds almost like it was walking along with me. I was kind jumpy from the noise then all of a sudden a huge rooster flushes right next to me and flys right in front of me. Wow talk about being scared until I seen it was a rooster.

Yep 3 of them last summer. It was too funny. They had no fear whatsoever. They walked down to the water line near a float tube that had just beached. The tuber wasn't there but his tube was and one of em got up on his hind legs and leaned on the tube to take a peak inside. I thought he may be itching for a ride. As it gets late out there you will hear all kinds of comosion in those reeds. Usually it's just birds or cats but since I saw the skunks if I hear a noise in the reeds I just keep on walking.

Take I-15 to the Junction with I-80, then head out on I-80 West. Take the View Area exit 1 mile before the Tooele Exit, and it's right there on the right at the view area between the Great Salt Lake and the Freeway.

I hooked a 19" out of there about 3 weeks ago . Nice toad , but didn't have my camera . Never seen a rooster but have seen skunks and some big snakes crawling out of the grass there . I haven't even hit it all this week . Looks like I am missing out .
