You can get a little action on them starting in late may, but they don't really start hitting them hard until June

Get ready for some of the best cicada fishing in years. This is the year that the hatches are supposed to peak. June is the best time but watch out for the crowds. Fish the shore line up and down the river or for the best fishing take a guided float trip. It is well worth the money. You will want to get reservations in advance as June will be taken fast.

I went up there this time last year and the Cicadas were just barely starting to come on. The week after we came back they raised the water up tremendously so check for the cfm before you go.

Relying on what happened last year and the forecast for this year, I wouldn't go to the Green the week before, during, or after Memorial Day. The outflow was up a bunch to simulate historic runoffs for downstream. We caught some fish but it was a job and a half. I'm going the 2nd or 3rd week in June and hope the outflow will be lessened. Keep checking with the folks at Flaming Gorge Lodge and other sites up there; they'll keep you posted.
