[#c4ac82]Remarks:[/#c4ac82] [#000000]Utah just got finished planting those little Bear Lake Cutthroat. First Point and Cisco Beach are the areas that have been planted. Now I realize that most of you don't want to come up and fish for Cutts that are only 7-8" but that is not why I am reporting this. This is a great time of year for those big fish that have moved in to feed on these innocent little fish. Reports have been EXCELLENT for fishing by trolling Rapalas and Yozuri lures and anything else that you can find that will resemble a fish that is 7-8" long, however your lures dont have to be 7" to catch fish. Try lures as small as 3". Trolling fairly shallow has been most productive, but as the little fish start to get used to the water they will move out into deeper water. I would fish from around 15' and out to around 60' till you can get into the trout. Most of the Cutts that have been caught have averaged around 20+" and 3+lbs. Macks up to 13lbs have also been reported. Shore anglers have also done fairly well. They haven't caught as many fish but it isn't uncommon to see Cutts in the 6+lb category being taken. Jigging has also been productive as well as fishing with whole Cisco, pieces of Sucker Meat and of course whole Sculpin. Now that the Cutthroat run is just getting underway you shouldn't be suprised by the coloration of these beautiful fish. Now is the time for that trophy mount that you have all been waiting for. Other good areas have been off of the State Marina and north towards the Swan Creek inlet.

Remember to stay on the outside of the marked bouys that are out in front of Swan Creek. This area is closed to fishing and will be until the 2nd weekend in July. The Rockpile and Gus Rich point have also been really productive. Find the fish and then set your riggers for that depth and hold on.....we want to encourage all you anglers to practice some catch and release. This will help all of us over the next few years while the lake level is so low. Please send us your reports of your fishing conditions. We don't want to give away any secrets so just let us know how many fish you caught and of what size. Also, how many fish you caught and kept as well as how many you released. Thanks again for all your support. We really appreciate your business. [/#000000][/#000000][/#000000]
