jordanelle report
#1
I went to Jordanelle today for the afternoon. I fished both the river arm and Hailstone areas. I caught a tree, my finger, and a sucker. That was all. Very slow fishing for me. I talked with a guy that had a fish finder (we were both shore fishing) and he said that his finder was picking up fish in the area. It was still nice to get out and smell the clean air and sagebrush. I fished with a worm, plastic tube jig, and a texas rig during the trip. The water in the river end was quite muddy from all of the runoff. Better luck next time I hope.

Would you say that you were graphing a "plethora" of fish.

el-guapo:

I fished Rockcliff last Sunday on the north side down by the no wake bouy and we caught so many chubs and perch we got tired of it. The chubs must be staging for their spawn, because they were one after another for the two of fishing for 3 hours. We just ran out of time to keep fishing otherwise we would have kept catching them. All the chubs were fun to catch just had a 1/2 oz weight and a worm, my biddy was tossing a panter martin tipped with a worm, I was too for a while but he kept getting hung up and loosing his lures on bottom junk (trees, stumps and such) he was also fishing 4lb test so it didn't take much to break his line. I was throwing 8lb spider wire and could pull of the stuff he was breaking his line on. Gotta love that line! By the time we quit, we had cought about 70 chubs and 20-30 perch. All the chubs were in the 12-13 inch range and about 1lb, the perch were 4-10". Made some mighty good fish tacos!
