great day for smallmouth action. the bite is on. found a great nesting area and really laid into some big fat ones. used ultra light gear and and tube jigs tipped with perch. caught around 20 between my buddy and i. smallest was 14" and the biggest was 19.5". also caught 1 nice bow and over 40 perch. most of the perch were also toads, not many dinks hanging around those big smallies.
