hey guys
i had an idea for my planer boards that im curious if anyone else
has tried or would like to
i originally ran them the way they came with two releases but got tired of
chaseing them all over the lake every time a half decent fish would hit,
so i tried replacing the back release with a swivelsnap that worked ok but
the board would slide down the line and hit fish in the face and its a pain
trying to take the snap off the line while trying not to lose the fish.
well what im doing now is replacing the back release with a release from a
snap weight (the kind with the post in the middle) , sunday i got to test it on
a four pound wiper at willard it worked great the board stayed on the line,
it didnt slide down the line (even with fireline) and its easy to remove the
board .
if any body has tried this or has a better plan let me know
