Lake X 6-7-04
#1
Dad and I hit Lake X. It was 85 degrees at 3:30pm at Lake X. We caught 15 smallies that were all male. A real nice 2lber in the bunch. Very windy, I hate the wind.[cool]

How do you tell the difference between male and female smallies or bass period?

I'm still waiting for that explosive small mouth fishing. Hopefully with this hot weather things will get good soon.

[#800080]Males are alot smaller first off. The females are huge at Lake X. Males pee a white milky substance when they are caught. Females have big belly about the size of ones fist.[/#800080]

[#800080] The moon may still effecting the bed makers. The ladies should come out to play any time now. Stupid wind has made the lake very murky.[/#800080]

Well that's the obvious part but isn't there some other way?

I've been seeing a couple beds for over a month but nothing hanging in or around them. Seems like I've caught the same fish every trip.
