I've heard to use a piece of bread or a hamburger bun rolled up into a ball I tried it once up at willard bay and caught 1 minnow in a couple of hours the rest of the minnows were still too small, that was about a year ago and I haven't put out my trap since (I always forget or don't have the time). but anyway bread is what I've heard of.

My Dad always used a slice of bread torn into 1/2 - 1" pieces. He'd just leave the trap overnight the day before he'd go fishing.
He'd also accidentally catch mice when storing the trap for the winter. We'd find their skeletons inside the trap the next spring. [signature]

i use a bun of any kind..roll it in your hand as tite as you can.. then roll it titer if you can.. put it in the trap and put in where i can see minnow or you think minnows might be.. let it sit for 4 or 5 hrs or over night.. anothr thing i have found that works good is put a ball velveta in.. give it a try you cant beat free bait..
