Where to fish in Alaska?
#1
A fellow employee of mine will be on a cruise to Alaska beginning tomorrow. He has the choice of fishing for one day either in Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway or Sitka. He is not an experienced fisherman, and I'm sure would enjoy fishing the place that he is the most likely to catch some nice fish not necessarily a certain species. He has sought my input. I have never fished in Alaska. Any input on the best place of the four to fish out of would be appreciated.

Hey Kentofnsl, The Coho Salman are under tremendous pressure right now in the whole area. But right now will be the best time for the Chinook Salmon as well as some good sized Halibuts in the Ketchikan area.

Are you planning on getting a charter? There are a few up on that area.

The Juneau are has about the same type of results expected. Better on the Chinooks and Halibuts.

Let me know if you need anymore info.
