We started fly fishing west of Heber at ~0700 Hrs. Didn't hook anything until 0830 hrs. I used darn near every nymph I own and couldn't catch anything over 8" (Browns & Whites). My partner was using dry flies and couldn't do any better. Finally gave up at 1630 hrs dead tired of releasing little trout.

As a side note....I'm glad I'm NOT fishing Deer Creek this weekend. Wall to wall people and boats.

i usually can help people find the "big" fish. did you keep any? fish ang game are incouraging people to keep a fish or 2. dont take any over 16 inches but you should keep some, th fish population is too crowded rigth now, need to thin it out, os we can get some biggins again

Fishboy,

I'm not that familiar with Heber but as near as I can remember we were almost directly west from the north side of the city down a dirt road that ended at a green metal road gate we had to climb. Property wasn't posted and there were a few other fishermen on the stream. Beautiful stream to fish.

I caught most of mine (~10 - 15) using beaded head pheasant tail #18 size. However, they were taking almost everything I threw at them. My partner was fishing dry flys and having same luck. I'm not sure what fly (s) specifically.

All my catches were 8 - 10" and I didn't keep any. My partner caught one 14" and kept it. He released a bunch of little ones.

Hey, if you know of a few good holes on this stream please let me know. I like Heber and the middle Provo.

Thanks,

Jim

im not sure where it is you were fishing, was the bridge nearby? if not i might know where you were, if so i do know where you were. that is the usual size right now, just big enough to have fun with. i know of a lot of great holes that should have some monsters in them still. pm me if you want to know where some of these spots are.
