Utah Lake Kitties!!!

My best friend, my little brother, and I went fishin at utah lake last night and had some good surprises!!! We got there about 8 or so and it was extremely windy. We waited out the wind for about 2 hours or so and then moved to a different area where it was less windy. We didnt have our lines out for more than 3 minutes when my little bro caught a 3 1/2 lb channel. We fished that area for awhile and then moved back to our first area once the wind died down. But there was this CRAZY guy who thought he knew everything about fishing!! Some stupid guy who said the reason we werent catchin any fish was because the light off of the full moon scared the fish away!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!! What he didnt know is that we had 12 fish at the time. Anyway, so it was a good trip, other than the wind and the crazy old man that was a know it all!! ( by the way, the old man didnt catch a thing hahahaha, some expert huh?!!)

Great to hear of your success! I sent a few hours out that way yesterday too. I got out there about 6 or 6:30pm I think,, man when that wind came in, IT REALLY CAME IN! Today I fished the Knolls. As far as the full moon and all, everyone has an oppinion how it effects fishing.. I for one feel it somewhat improves some types of fishing, like night fishin' for kitties. But thats merely my oppinion.

lol yeah, i found that a full moon helps the night fishin for big cats!! i am very open to people giving me advice but i dont like it when people know everything!! Most of the time people think i am just a punk 20 year old kid, but in fact i know more about fishing then most of them do. ( not tryin to be egotistic by the way ) My favorite thing is when my little bro, my buddy, and i go fishing and we are the only ones catchin anything and the people around us try and snoop or sneak around to find out what we are using, when all they have to do is ask! lol thats my favorite!!

I managed to sneak out for a Thursday morning trip with TubeBabe this week, to avoid the amateurs on the lakes over the weekend. Heck, we really got into 'em. We both got about a dozen, between 6 and 10 (inches).[/size][/#0000ff]





[#0000ff][size 1]Actually I got one small largemouth (11 inches) right at daybreak, and then we couldn't buy a bite from anything bigger than the fish in the pics attached. And, Bartlett Lake is known for big channels and Flatheads...two over 50 pounds so far this year.[/size][/#0000ff]

[#0000ff][size 1]Not for us, but it was good to get out for a few hours on a day the lake wasn't churned to a froth by the power squadron.[/size][/#0000ff]

Nah, i was fishin the LBH. Skeeters were horrible, but they came in spurts so it wasnt too bad. In fact, most of them died by the lantern anyway.[] We were using shrimp about 18 inches or so off the bottom.

Guys who think that they know everything are sure annoying to those of us who do. Sounds like you did well -- I have always struggled at Utah Lake fishing for the cats after the wind has blown hard. It sounds like you don't let that slow you down.
