Went to Flaming Gorge for the holiday weekend. Friday the weather was nice, but the rest of the weekend the weather was awful--cold, rainy, windy. When we did have a chance to fish the smallies were biting. Caught them anywhere there was rocks. Check out the pictures.

Looks like a good time even if the weather didn't cooperate.

If you are fishing for smallies there is plenty of shore fishing. I camped in the Lucerne Valley area, there were a lot of people shore fishing there.
As far as charters I have no idea. That was my first time up to FG. I'm originally from TN, just been here in UT 1 year so I'm not very familiar. Sorry. I'm sure someone else on the site could give you info.

Thanks. I caught them on 4" plastic worms (Kanami). They were a burgundy to brown color; basically looked like a night crawler.
Yes, I do lots of bass fishing. Basically that's all I do if I have a choice. Being from Tennesse that's mainly what I grew up fishing for. I've been having good luck with the smallies at Jordanelle as well. I had really fast action at Pineview but theve been small. I want to try Deer Creek this weekend. How is the bass fishing there?

Deer Creek is producing some nice fish! The Wallsburg arm presented some nice ones yesterday. Hey, bring your boat up to jordanelle tonite for the tourney! 30 bucks and a fun time! 4:30pm on the ramp. I have a couple of non-boaters needing a partner. One has a pass to get in.
