Just stared the season and on the first two trips (shakedown cruises, we boated 6 fish each day (4/20 & 4/21) with a late start and an early quit (8:00AM-noon). Fri. we took 6 browns with a total weight of 63#. That's an average of over 10#/fish. On Sat. we took five browns and an atlantic. The atlantic weighed 11# and was 27' long. The largest brown was 14#. Wow! I hope this keeps up. We didn't fish Sun. but several captains did well on coho before a big blow made them get off the lake. Nearshore water temperatures are running about 42-45 deg.. Best baits for us have been Alpena Diamonds (chartreuse/red dots), blue Yo-zuris, and blu/sil Michigan Stingers.
Have some dates avail. for spring/early summer. Give a call if interested.
Capt.
